Packaging table configurator. How do you create the perfect workstation?
A modern approach to packaging and shipping activities.
In recent years, many companies with stationary sales have had to change their nature and go online. This has also led to an increase in the number of shipments of goods to the customer, which in turn has required new solutions to streamline the whole process.
In order for this work to be carried out efficiently and without strain on the employee, a good design of the dedicated workstation is required. The main task in this process is packaging the goods and securing them properly for shipping, which has a positive impact on customer satisfaction and minimises the number of possible complaints. The ergonomics of the entire process is also important, which translates into efficiency in all activities.
At effepack, you can order them precisely created for the type of work you will be doing on them. Only the equipment you deem necessary will be installed.
Packing table configuration.
We realise that simply browsing through a gallery of our products may not be enough to visualise the end result and decide which modules you will need and which you will not.
Below we guide you step-by-step through the available options.
Step 1: Decide what size table you need.
The worktop should be tailored to the size of goods you have to pack and the space available for this. You also need freedom of movement, but a workstation that is too large generates more disorder, and this can become increasingly irritating and distracting in the long run. Too little space, on the other hand, forces you to search for other available surfaces, is inconvenient and makes the packing process more difficult, stretching it out over time. In our range, you can decide between the 6 sizes available. You have a choice of widths from 100 to 200 cm, calculated in increments of 20 cm. You click on the option you want and move on, with each item appearing in your visualisation.
Step 2: Type of tabletop.
You now have three options to choose from. The most versatile – the aluminium top. It can be used under any type of packaging. Unlike the popular wooden tops, it does not wear out and does not need to be replaced due to splinters forming, which are dangerous for both the packer and the products being packed. All side edges are rounded, which makes it even safer.
For more specialised applications, you can choose a roller table top – ideal for storage containers. It makes it very easy to work with heavier packages that can be easily moved around on rollers. Often, these are where you have items delivered directly from the warehouse and finally repacked in cartons for shipping.
The third option available is a tabletop with a built-in scale. Depending on the nature of your work, you can choose a scale mounted on the left or right side of the worktop. This makes it easy to weigh parcels or the products you need to pack. You decide by clicking on the icon of your choice.
Step 3: Adjust the height of the tabletop.
Again, you have three options. No adjustment, manual or electric. The “no adjustment” table has a standardised height and can be used for most jobs. Adjustment is particularly recommended in companies where people of different heights work in packaging and the table top needs to be set at a different height for their comfort.
The most convenient option is electric adjustment. Everything is controlled by buttons and does not require the slightest effort. This is the best option and therefore the most expensive. However, if you don’t want to pay that much, we can recommend the last version instead – manual adjustment. Compared to electric, it is very cheap, but a little more complicated to use – you have to manually adjust each leg separately.
You click on the option you want and move on to the next stage.
Step 4: Type of top shelf.
At this point, the choice is a little more personalised. You need to consider what type of packing will be going on the table in question. If you only use larger cartons – we recommend a shelf with compartments. These have openwork bases, which can, however, be problematic with smaller elements. Therefore, if you use small cardboard boxes or envelopes for packing, the shelf with compartments with filling will probably be useful. Both are 35 cm high. The number of compartments depends on the length of the table.
When you are not using cardboard boxes for packaging, you may be interested in the ‘standard top shelf’, which allows you to put away various accessories, tape, etc., without interfering with your countertop work.
If you want space for both packaging and small tools or accessories – we recommend a ‘divided top shelf’, i.e. one half with compartments and the other half completely flat.
So you click on the shelf of your choice (or lack thereof) and move on.
Step 5: Vertical wall accessories.
We permanently offer many additional accessories. You need to think about and analyse what your business will need in order to get the best possible table fit for the packaging process.
We have many types of front shelves with different depths. Their choice depends on what you plan to keep on them, whether it be packaging accessories or perhaps a printer or other equipment.
If you are using a storage or monitoring system in your warehouse, for example, extras such as a monitor holder, keyboard shelf or camera holder may be necessary.
Your workspace needs illumination – we offer LED lighting in several different mounting options.
All the accessories are well described, and by clicking on specific ones, you can see how they blend with the table – the visualisation changes in real time.
For your convenience, they are easily clipped in and do not require extra holes to be drilled or complicated assembly. When you change your business profile, you won’t have to generate costs and order a new table – it will adapt to you.
Step 6: Side accessories, or anything that can be fitted to the sides of your table.
- Your work requires you to set up a computer, a printer or a scale, and you are often looking for a place to put large cardboard boxes. We have special shelves designed for this.
- When you know that your packaging process will generate waste – we can attach a robust bag holder to the table.
- During the packing process, you will find that you often need access to the bottom of the carton – we can offer an additional parcel table with a tilting top.
- You use stretch film at work every day – we can fit a wrapping machine for parcels into each table, or an additional holder for a roll of film.
- You have to move heavy cardboard boxes many times during the day. The solution may be to install a convenient roller conveyor.

Step 7: Accessories under the tabletop.
This is where several options become available.
- If you often work with a computer, you will probably find a pull-out keyboard shelf useful.
- When you are looking for a place to keep your most frequently used accessories, a sturdy drawer can help.
- Perhaps you want to further utilise the space under the worktop – we can include a shelf, best suited to your working style.
- Your work is carried out in a variety of places, which means you want to be mobile. Nothing simpler! Each table can be additionally equipped with a set of wheels with a brake.
Step 8: Extras.
Each table we offer still has the option of adjusting additional independent accessories.
- Do you work mainly in a standing position? We recommend the effepack anti-fatigue mat.
- However, if you prefer a sedentary mode – we have specialist swivel storage chairs in our offer.
- When you want to improve your sitting position and relieve pressure on your spine – you can choose one of the specialised footrests.
The perfect table.
At this stage, the table configuration is complete. All selected options are approved. There is nothing left to do but to click “Add to basket” and place your order.
